We are blessed to witness many baptisms at camp. Our neighbor across the road has been curious and also goes out on his deck to watch, calling out to his wife, "They're doing it again." Maybe one day he will be baptized? We would be thrilled, the angels would rejoice and his wife would be ecstatic.
This photo captures an incredible moment of transformation. Notice the light shining on this man who is declaring his future in Jesus. God has shone that light on others. Remember the conversion of Saul to Paul?
Their story brings the couple from Mexico to N CA. The wife is curious about all things Christian and begins attending church. Discovering the Truth, she then becomes a Christian. Her husband has been caught up in a satanic cult (Santeria and Espiritismo/spiritualist). He delved deeper into these practices, training to become a priest. Desiring to prove how deceived his wife is, he attends church with her. Ahhh, yes, he discovers the Truth and asks Jesus to take control of his life. When talking with him, he literally bubbles over with the love of Christ.

October is the high season for witchcraft. A favorite speaker at camp reminds us about spiritual warfare with a visual. He wears eye glasses to demonstrate the physical world and sun glasses when talking about the spiritual world. O that we would be more aware of Satan and his schemes. Jesus took Satan seriously and had power to overcome. So do we:
"You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you us greater than the one who is in the world." I John 4:4 (a great chapter to read)
