Work days.....the body of Christ in action! We have been busy working on projects and finished painting the dining hall last week! A big shout out to Pastor Larry Fanning and his group from First Baptist, Clearlake as they powerwashed and painted the bridge. Another BIG thank you to Ray Pardee and the Campers on Mission for their efforts around the camp last weekend. Check out our Work and Worship tab in you are interested in joining a fun and rewarding Memorial Day weekend.
If you have a servant's heart, there are always projects to be done. Kevin would love some company at the camp. Whether you are able to come alone or with a church group, the camp could use the help. Please contact us at campcazadero@comcast.net

God bless you!

Community Baptist, Santa Rosa, had their men's retreat with 37 men attending from all over the North Bay Area. It was exciting to see men from all walks of life praising God and learning to be Kingdom Men. A highlight of the weekend was witnessing 2 men being baptized in chilly Austin Creek. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Wow....Seniors do it right! We thoroughly enjoyed being at our first Senior Retreat. (Yes, we both have grey hair.) Chuck and Peggy cooked for 45 of us and the only complaint was that we all gained weight. YIKES! So much great food and great fellowship. We enjoyed listening to all the laughter. Whether it was over meals, jig saw puzzles or around the campfire, we heard so much joy.
Jim Meeks, Pastor from Trinity Livermore, was a stand-up comedian who taught us deep truths from God's Word. If we lived in Livermore....that's where we would attend for sure!
The music rose thru the redwoods to give praise to God. A group of men sat around the campfire daily praying faithfullly for the camp and whatever God placed on their hearts. Such a precious sight to see...Godly men!
Jim and Lynn Slaydon came early to help us set up for the week. They have servant's hearts and we so appreciate their love for God and others. Kevin and Jim make a dynamic duo and many areas around the camp are now working...lights, fountains to name a few of the many jobs they did.
The week flew by and God provided leadership to start planning for next years retreat.

After many years of faithful service, the Cambra family moved out on July 10. It was very different without Miss Judy in the kitchen after so many years. We missed Jason's fire twirling and impressions. We thank God for their investment into the camp.
We want to give a shout out to Chuck & Peggy Wright, Lower Lake, who came to camp to volunteer for 13 long days as our "cookies". They have servant's hearts and kept us well fed. God was our Jehovah Jirah. He answered our prayers and provided in amazing ways. (Sometimes before we even asked!)
The greatest joy is that many, many lives have been changed as a result of getting closer to God at camp. 3 youth have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. God is good...all the time. All the time...God is good! That's what camp is all about....giving God opportunity to transform lives.
More changes. We are pleased that we now have a caretaker. Kevin Housh loves the camp and will be living in the camp house to care for the camp on a daily basis. The sad news is that the chapel is not usable. We are in process of having engineers look at the structure to see what the next step will be.
Please join us in praying for the camp. We are needing more groups to come out and use the camp. We need a miracle to get the chapel ready for next summer. We would appreciate your prayers.
God is good...ALL THE TIME!

Redwood Empire Association had 3 camps during July. Week #1 was for children grades 1-3 with over 30 in attendance. Over the weekend 45 attended the youth retreat. The 3rd camp was for children grades 4-6 with 65 of us. God was our Jehovah Jirah to provide our every need. Our theme was SHINE! and the campers did exactly that. We learned that as the moon reflects the light of the sun, we can SHINE and be a light to our world. Two of our favorites songs were "We Are" ( the Light of the World) and "Learning to be the Light'. What an amazing time. Lots of pictures on Facebook. Friend us at Camp Caz Baptist Camp!
