Duckies from Heaven

God has a sense of humor....

This weekend we had a Children's Camp of 91 campers.
Busy days!
Paul was sitting alone, tired and a bit down over a sad situation. That's when he heard a noise on the basketball court. He walked over and realized it was a lil' duckling that had fallen from the sky. One by one he was watching ducklings falling for several minutes until he counted 7. Miraculous🦆! Two were not moving. One crawled unto his sandal imprinting with him. No mama duck was in sight. Instead of manna from the ground, he was witnessing duckies from heaven!

Mama Duck arrived on the scene and Paul enjoyed the happy ending....

Pray for Sonoma County

The staff and volunteers of Camp Cazadero are praying that you and your loved ones are safe and supported in the midst of this tragedy.  Each of us have been impacted in one way or another.

We just wrapped up an amazing year of ministry with such joy, literally the day the fires started.  We have been very involved in the work of shelter care and ministry to our community.  We would count it an honor to bring your requests to our Father and assist in ANY way we can.

Love and prayers,

Paul, Loretta and staff

It has now been 42 years since my one week stay at Camp Cazadero where I first became a Christian. It was probably one of the most monumental times of my life. I will never forget it. All of the fun I had that week. But I did not come from a very church family but they still allowed me to go. I remember arriving and camp counselors kept asking where I go to church and I would just say, The one in Vacaville. Until the second day I was in the lunch line and a big guy wanted to know where I go to church and I said, do you really want to know the truth, and he said, well yea, and I said that I don't go to one. Afterwards he told me he wanted to talk to me, we went up on a hill, and after a lengthy discussion, I first came to know God. I met with a big jolly man named Pastor Willy and a Pastor named Fred Dallas.

It has been many years now. I did back slide a few times over the years as many do, but I always knew to come back to God where I belong and it all started at Camp Cazedero.

As hard as it may seem to believe, I still have my little white and green tee shirt that says on it, Camp Cazedero.

Welcome our German Volunteers!

Franzi and Manu from Nuremberg, Germany, served Camp Caz in Fall 2016 as volunteer workers.

They found us when looking on Christian Camp and Conferences Association (CCCA) website. After a few emails with Loretta, they were ready for their adventure in Northern California. Since they are involved in Christian camping in Germany as well, they really had a blessed time and loved the camp so much. In Germany they are doing Bible studies in the YMCA, leading youth groups and more.

They left their fingerprints around the camp, which you might see if you have a closer look.

"We are thankful to have met so many lovely people who are in love with God! We had a great time at the camp and together with Paul and Loretta and are so thankful for the new experiences that we can make abroad. We are looking forward to coming back in a few years - maybe with our kids some day!" Manu and Franzi
